Sad Endings / New Beginnings and Februus
Februus may be " the guy/god ", for which February
is named, a little in context with what follows.
Now, I googled sad endings, and you get Cinema.
Most people , I think, will agree that life and cinema
are different, although the flat universe is popular,
and even the idea of holographic universe, generated
from a 2d space.
But mostly we view it differently, otherwise, we would
be for ever embedded in a movie theater .... which means
we would never experience leaving it ,,,,
But what I'm leading up to is famous movie lines, like
: "Here's looking at you, kid." Spoken by
Rick (Humphrey Bogart) to Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman).
Casablanca,1942
or
"May the force be with you.", Star Wars, 1977
but one line that really always seems get to me is
from Gladiator (2000) ,,,,,
and this is from memory and may not be accurate:
" Is Rome worth the life of one good man? We believed
it once, let us believe it again "
which evokes for me a powerful emotional response,
because it speaks of endings and beginnings, to me
in such a powerful way ,,,,
and the somehow optimism that in the tragedy of
the present, a force of renewal will emerge.
But this may all well be, simply, a mood
emanating from the Februus ...
