More or More or Less about Empire

So first off, learned to speak Jedi, which is a curious language where bits of sentences
get reversed in unexpected ways, which could have something to do with Forth,
not sure about that.

So Carrie Fisher pasted away unexpectedly yesterday, and really connects closely to
this whole issue of Empire, what it is, and all that.  An iconic figure for sure.
She in some ways painted a picture with her life.   But we end up made sad ( jedi ),
by their passing.

The two party system in the U.S. looks like it has broken most of the other systems
in place to protect democracy.   What I am talking about is a crisis caused by a
dysfunctional confusion about marketing and politics, which flows now into government
and the structure and efficacy of government, and now resulted in
serious problems that will not be easily mended.

So first examine the problem.   A system based solely on " personality ",
where we elect someone based on who they are, and that person is
really unknown to us because it is a person we construct in our minds, who
is projected to us by an elaborate and extremely effective method of marketing.

We are mixed up if we think that works.  In fact you can also make the
statement ---->  we are mixed up.

So it really needs to be fixed.   And of course I will get back to you with the
solution, but probably not that soon.  Of course I did address it in the first
post in this blog,  but I really have to go back and think about - if that would
really work.

So,  as a nation,  we have some serious work to do to resolve these issues,
Seriously.   And that would be as a nation that is united behind creating a
better future for ourselves and everyone else.  Because we can.  But
a better future takes a lot of thinking and a better future, is a future,
not a past.

More about flash lights

So Mr. Obama is ending his role as world leader on the global stage,
and if he only led us around in 2920 circles, I'm pretty happy
about that.

Meanwhile, the situation about flash lights.

When I observe the situations evolving or existing currently on our
tiny, humble little home world, it seems to me that most issues
have been couched in a binary way, pro and anti.

Now, number one, it is pretty hard to believe that everything should shake out
that way, but beyond that it's incredibly confusing, and disturbing, because
in many cases there is no compromise on these issues, you must be pro
or anti.

It seems nuts to me.

But beyond that, our tiny sphere seems to be covered in issues of this type,
and here is where the power of the flash light, and I am using this
flash light to represent the U.S. government, needs to be working which,
if you go back and look at the last flash light post, has a lot to do with
the polarity which exists in a extreme bi-polar, but very hierarchical,
political situation currently in this nation and which appears perhaps
more divided than previously.

The only way I can see that we can get our own flash light working
in this country is for a real change in thinking, because we
need more perspective not less.   Mentally we need to sharpen the
focus of our inquiry to allow us to break through this entangled
jungle of bi-polar issues which surrounds us.

Why do we need to do this?  Because as a species we need to move forward,
we can't stay always in the same place,  and to move forward we need to
examine clearly the way to go forward.

So we are threatened today, and we are continuing to be threaten and our cultures
are also being threatened.   

But more and more I suspect these profound thoughts are read and people then 
go  ,,,, hey,,,,  " military secrets " what a great idea !! and do just the opposite of
what's recommended.

But okay,,,, let's try and reduce the threats to which we are all exposed,  but
let's try doing that in a rational way...

So,  this is like an instant replay ,,, but so much more relevant in present
reality.

Why we have different kinds of shoes

As mentioned in another blog IPH,

I am currently working on a poem with lots of G's in it.
Two of course are google and googol,,, an outstanding
pair of G's.  But also, must feature prominently, Kurt Godel,
a prominent figures in the development and advancement
of thought in the world, of the 20th century.

So, about shoes, well that's about left and right on a global scale,
and why it is that we have both left and right feet.  And to answer,
the question about feet,  is not all that easy, but I will just say, that
if something is not bad,  that doesn't always make it good, and
likewise, when something is not good, doesn't always make it bad.
Some might disagree on this view, but be patient for what comes
next.

So, it is appropriate to mention on his passing  Fidel Castro  as, he
was involved in shaping some of that dichotomous thinking during
the late twentieth century.  Or in other words if it's not right it's left.

As I also have mentioned else where, many people like to think in
terms of the proton, neutron world , which science now has
demonstrated  exists only at a some level of  physical reality, but
is not the whole story.  Likewise for capital and labor and similar
dichotomous concepts which only give us a fair approximation
of events that occur around us.   But knowing the deeper story,
that in fact both neutrons and protons are composed of quarks
gives us a deeper understanding and a more valid understanding
of the true nature of physical reality.  This is in the genuine spirit
of the development of quantum theory and the concept of
superposition and principle, in that things can exist in a
state of dynamic and indeterminate  change.


So back to feet.

It is important for us to reflect and understand that we all have two
feet and that the reason why the conflict between left and right
is intractable is that the conflict does not really exist.  It is
simply a conflict that take place with in all of us all the time,
constantly.

You can not predetermine in which direction you will go at
any time.  You have to make that decision at a unique time,
with considerations for many variables.

Finally all this reminds me a lot of To Kill a Mockingbird,,,
a book published right around the time Cuba , U.S. relations
were to feature prominently on the global stage.

Maybe yes, maybe no, I'm not sure ..... you know ...

So, very soon Donald Trump will become, as per U.S. tradition,
over a long period of time,  the number one servant of the
American people,  and therefore, by tradition of the american people,
who consider themselves to be the servants of all the people of the world,,,
the number one servant of all the world.

But to serve the American people, the people of this nation,  he must serve
all the people of this nation.  Other wise, he is not doing what by
the traditions of this nation, we have elected him to do.  And if he is
unaware of those long held traditions,,, maybe some research or assistance
in that would be of order.

Now,  of course we do know that,,,,,,the history of this nation has been mostly
about dithering with the notion of who are the people of this nation, and we
are of course continuing to dither and muddle and muddle and dither on that
topic,,,,as well as how we as a nation are best able to serve all the other
nations of the world and by that I am not referring to Twilight zone episode
about how to serve mankind ( the cook book ),,,but what is the best way
to do that,,,, and for most of the 20 th century it was continuous violence,,,
but now that we are reaching the quarter point of the 21 st century, I am
thinking that, since it really didn't go so well in the  20 th century, a good
rethink might be in order, for us as a nation, Giving Thanks,,, today, after
Turkey ?

About civic action and bipartisanship

It could be a song, my bipartisan ship,,,

Now I must reference another blog concerning unique states,
because even in the situation where you have two large
groups, of distinct perspectives, all those perspectives which
are unique though there may be some forces of entanglement.

So to start out I have to admit why I don't like using this
blog, because on the subject I am discussing it's super easy
to fall off the cliff, one side or the other and land in " partisan "
world,  in that it is possible and easy for you to " take sides " ,
in what I believe turns into a lot of non-productive behaviors,
previously mentioned here.

But my main point is that ( in my opinion ) for our society to
progress, evolve and perfect (become 'great'), for us to become
better, it is necessary have collective behavior which is focused on
achieving goals relating to resolving or eliminating social
problems or improving social, community conditions in some
way,   and I believe personally that there are many outlets
for this  process, and many ways this process can be achieved,
and if we actually do imagine that all these solutions belong
to, or are the property of one single group I think that would be
more of a product of the imagination, than a effective way
of finding solutions and achieving goals.

So finally, when ever you have these groups,   like lets say
two main groups,  you generally have another group which
is the  ---->  I don't care, I don't know, and not important to
me ,,, group which I think is about the same size as the
other two,,,,

Yes, for all that, I am well aware that you should not conclude
a thought with a string of commas ,   but that's the kind of
person I am.
 

Blow Hardiness Part 2 and the Neo revolution

Well, as I mentioned, I really felt like I needed to abandon this blog, because of the high
level of blow hardiness connected with this topic.  Unfortunately, I have because aware
of " new " information related to U.S. system of politics and because of which I must
cast doubt on all the arguments in this blog.  ( RATS !!!! )

The problem seems to be the use of terms liberal and conservative, which previously I
believed made up the --- fundamental --- dividing lines in our system.  But I have
become aware now that these groupings or collections no longer exist, because all
the liberals and conservatives jumped ship and are now neo-liberals and
neo-conservatives and there is no longer a direct connection between neo-liberals
and liberals or neo-conservatives and conservatives.   In other words our political
system has grown considerably more opaque.

I am guessing that this terminology derives itself from the lead character Neo from the
Matrix series, but as to that, there may not be a direct connection ----- however, I need
more concrete examples.   So, what would be the difference between a neo-apricot and
an apricot, or what is the difference between a neo-apple and a regular apple?  Like
consider a neo-wheel versus a wheel or what is a neo-straight line as compared to
straight line?   Do two neo-straight lines that are parallel meet at a single point or never?
Is there  now a new concept of neo-parallelism applied to a relationship between lines?
Is there a connection between the neo version of something and say a virtual element
of the same type?  Will we eventually have neo-cows and neo-chairs, neo-sidewalks and
neo-roads?

So these are obviously important questions, and beyond reaches the vast need for the
American public to be thoroughly educated on this topic, both a necessity and
an enormous task. For example, why did all the conservatives jump ship and
become neo-conservatives, and likewise why did the liberals all jump ship
and become neo-liberals?  Was it a natural process, some biological agent or virus,
or is it simply a product of poor sleeping habits in the American public? Could it
be connected in some way to erroneous astronomical observations?

One question that does concern me is if there is actually a difference between
the two or is it totally subjective?

And even more, if you needed a liberal now a days or a conservative ? perhaps for
historical reasons, where would you go to find one?

This titanic issue almost makes the issue of blow hardiness seem to pale in comparison.

Nutshell in a nutshell

politics.   Now, we refer to politics as a political  system, more often political process,
but also as political mechanism.

So consider the following mechanism:  a flashlight with two batteries.  Now, ideally
you have two batteries to get the optimum light, and you can imagine that we are
talking one republican battery and one democrat battery.  And you want the
optimum light because you want to fix the problems that you have been driven
to unravel with your flashlight.

But guess what --- with one republican battery and one democrat battery you
have only 1/4 of the light output.

And this comes directly from the role played by opposition.  The parties are
in opposition to prevent policies or solutions not in the best interest of everyone.
However, the opposition affect has become so important and so dramatic that
the ability to co-operate has become diminished so much, that the output is
only a fraction of the benefit you would like to have in order to achieve collective
goals which revolve around solutions to " real world ", really, really existent
problems and issues.

Which leads in nicely to a plug for Hank, the helpful hardware man.

Blow Hardiness

So, my last post here said I was going to stay away from this because of  Blow Hardiness.

Here I am.... because, being a presidential election once more, the level
of blow hardiness in society in general has increased to such a level that
 I can be comfortable doing it a " little " myself.

But what did I mean?  Well, blowing hard so to speed means to assert some complex
concept whole heatedly,  lacking a sufficiently objective basis.  It is very hard for
any single individual to have that kind of basis because individual views and thoughts
are based on inherent limitations.  So it's not hard to do it, but the danger is the twin
disasters, that by leaning on blow hardiness you fall over into the abyss of hypocrisy.

But again, presidential election, and it brings it out in us because we are trying to
choose an individual who can't possibly live up to all the demands of such a
responsibility.  And that is exactly the problem.

But,  I do believe the following:

It is time for the people of this nation to be just, and honest, stand up and be courageous.
In short it means to be all that we can be.   And I am not going to try and show case the why
of it,  but I simply believe it is ---- about time.
