Some of this goes back to : 21 Oh Man and in particular 21.0
In that post I discuss 3 major groupings, science, religion,
and politics. And everyone has a more or less specific
grouping that they tend to rely on or connect with in
a greater or lesser degree. There are several others,
two prominently being military and business.
One common aspects of these groups in to acknowledge
if there is a problem, it is the result or fault of one of
the other groups. Science might suggest business,
business suggests politics or the military might blame
everyone else. There are many other combinations and
of course and I did not mention communication or media, and
so I won't.
After having discussed the big 3, I have a few words about
business, because anyone or everyone might consider
themselves a businessman of a sort, because it does sort
of seem like life revolves around " money ".......
Actually, and objectively what we unusually think of as " life ",
which is --- an " earth like " environment, revolves around the
sun, and science would have us belief that the sun is not made
of money, but it is really also clear it has a lot to do with it (money).
Now today, many people have suggested that we are experiencing
an " existential crisis " of some type. I like to think of it, however,
as a Hari Seldon Crisis, of a psycho-historical, or maybe psycho-hysterical
nature and at some point I hope to bring that idea into focus. But
whether we think of it as existential or psycho-historical, probably
not that important. " Something is happening here ... ", and it has
many disturbing under and over tones. So what I think is
relevant is a clearer understanding, how all these processes
which constitute " life " are in fact tightly interconnected.
And they possess a complex nature. But I can only assert,
we, ( all of us ), do now, possess the capacity to in fact
address them honestly and sincerely, see through the haze,
and see that clarity ahead.
And so this is a bit of an alternative of the main theme of this
blog which is that it is the poorly configured nature of
U.S. politics where we focus our concerns to extending that
to everybody ---- everywhere.
